Diocese Continues to Reduce Gender Pay Gap
The Diocese of Arundel & Brighton has continued on a positive path in reducing the Gender Pay Gap for diocesan employees. The Diocese has been able to reduce this gap by nearly half since 2018. The Diocese will strive over the coming year to seek to reduce it further.
Diocesan Chief Operating Officer, Sarah Kilmartin says in her report below that "Although this is lower than many organisations, there can be no room for complacency. We are proud of the progress we have already made to close this gap."
The Diocese looks forward to reporting a further reduction in the pay gap in 2020.

Organisations with 250 staff or more are required to publish data about their gender pay gap and update it annually. We welcome gender pay gap reporting as an opportunity to learn and improve.
In 2019, we reported a mean gender pay gap of 3.2 per cent and a median of 0 per cent. These are much lower than the UK national average and represent an improvement on the pay gap reported in 2018. Although this is lower than many organisations, there can be no room for complacency. We are proud of the progress we have already made to close this gap.
